Final Presentations

Good final presentations during the semester should:
  • Format
    • Be 15 minutes long without questions
    • Include slides, dominantly visual
  • Content
    • Begin with an elevator pitch of a few minutes that describes:
      • The problem
      • The goal
      • The proof-of-concept prototype, including demo
      • Results of your evaluation
    • Then, briefly show more detail on each project phase:
      • Research on problem, goal, and potential solutions
      • Generation of several potential solutions
      • Choice among different solutions
      • More detail on your prototype
      • More detail on your evaluation
You should not:
  • Begin your presentation with process, or how you solved things
  • Use text-heavy slides
