Abstract"Focus on the user and all else will follow" is one of Google's core tenants. The talk will highlight how Google works to create the best user experiences, and how this process has evolved over the years. Dr Laura Granka will cover the product development lifecycle at Google, highlighting examples and case studies over the nearly 11 years she has been with Google. Dr Granka is the currently the User Experience lead for Search and Research Infrastructure at Google, and manages a team of researchers, designers, program managers, and software engineers. During the course of the talk, Dr Granka will provide an overview of User Experience (UX) at Google, and how quantitative and qualitative data help to shape insight into product, design, and development. Dr Laura Granka received her BS and MS from Cornell University and her PhD from Stanford. She has been with Google since 2004.
